Anthro SoCal is entirely volunteer-run and would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. Volunteers help ensure the convention runs smoothly and that attendees have a fun and safe experience.
Volunteer Types
We have two categories of volunteers to pick from, depending on how much time you want to dedicate to helping out before/during the convention: Gofurs and Staff.
Gofurs
Gofurs are flexible volunteers who assist where needed throughout the convention.
Their responsibilities include helping with line management, room monitoring, setup, teardown, and general assistance.
Staff
Staff are volunteers who work within specific departments and have scheduled shifts and responsibilities before and during the convention.
Volunteer Requirements
- All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
- Volunteers must follow all Anthro SoCal policies and codes of conduct.
- Volunteer hours must be signed off by a Department Lead.
Rewards (Based on Hours Worked)
Rewards are based on submitted hours signed off by Lead(s) and stack as you reach each threshold.
